Today was my parents’ 20th anniversary—what better opportunity to #GiveThanks?
I am thankful for my parents and the family they have raised over the last twenty years.
My siblings were too, so us kids took the day to transform our house into a five-star restaurant. We served a three course meal to our parents—first, a Greek salad and freshly baked rolls. The main course was a filet mignon on roasted garlic mashed potatoes with sauteed mushrooms and asparagus. Finally, for dessert, we made a strawberry galette with French vanilla ice cream.
I am also grateful that I had the energy to be able to plan and cook this meal. Our family had a great time, and hope to have many more.
